The Perfecta Cut-O-Drill cutting and drilling system optimizes the
processing of offset and digital printing, and guarantees quick and
economic processes. Costs and space requirements are reduced, and the
combination of cutting and drilling operations do not require re-piling
or intermediate storage of the stack. This drastically reduces the hazard
of stack damage and mis-sorting.
The Perfecta Cut-O-Drill is based on the Perfecta 92 TVC with the PC-Cut
or PC-Link modules for external programming and data linking. This system
is the prerequisite to networked operation using digital equipment.
The drilling unit has been placed over the cutting table for cutting
and drilling - the latter being supported by its own positioning system.
All operations are done within one station to avoid unnecessary movements
of the paper pile. The heavy-duty drilling system specifically designed
for the Perfecta 92 is supplied by Dürselen.
The drilling unit is located on two guide rails laterally fitted to
the cutting table. A shaft which drives the drilling heads runs to the
drilling beam. The drilling heads can be shifted lengthways, while the
position of the drilling beam is optionally program-controlled. The
hole pitch can be set to any distance. All drilling heads are simultaneously
moved toward the paper pile in the vertical direction. The speed of
the motor is driven by a frequency inverter and can be adjusted by the
program controller. The shavings are automatically disposed of via a
conveyor belt programmed from the touch screen at the front panel.
The entire system is accommodated in the Perfecta 92 or 115 so that
the floor space required for the machine and its operating parameters
remain unchanged.
