The Bourg Modulen Collator expands as your business expands ... from
4 to 400 workstations with production speeds up to 6,000 sets per
hour.
This remarkable vacuum-feed system can handle a variety of stocks,
from one-carbon paper to 16-page signatures, in sheet sizes from 5-1/2"
x 6-7/8" to 13-3/4" x 19-5/8". Also, Bourg's A-2 Modulen provides
an expanded sheet size of 5-1/2" x 6-7/8" up to 17-1/2" x 25". Any
combination of stockweights and sizes can run as an intermix. Speeds
are variable from 1500 up to 6000 sets per hour.
Over the last 19 years, the Bourg Modulen collating system has proven

With its large load capacity, vacuum pick up and transfer, speed,
and accuracy, it meets the demands of almost every collating and bookletmaking
application. The Modulen's unique ability to handle the world's widest
range of stock and material add to its reputation as the solution
to difficult gathering applications. Stock weights vary from one time
carbon and onion skin to a 32-page signature and chip board.
Vacuum pick-up and transfer of material, miss and double detection,
and an extremely large load capacity (33-1/2", or 8,375 sheets of
20# bond paper) allow hours of error-free operation before reloading.
The finishing end of the system allows for many choices: saddlestitching,
jogging, shrink packaging, polybagging, or transfer to another post-processing
device. The Bourg Modulen is available in two models. The standard
"S" model will collate sheet sizes from 5-1/2" x 6-7/8" (4" x 4" on
request) to 13-3/4" x 19-5/8". The "A2" Modulen has the ability to
collate sheet sizes up to 17-1/2" x 25-1/2".
Normal speed is 1500 to 3200 sets per hour in the times one (xl)
conveyor mode. The times two (x2) conveyor mode allows for the production
of 6000 sets per hour.
